Florece Pilates Studio was founded on the belief that movement should be intentional, precise, and deeply personal. Nestled in La Barra de Colotepec on the Oaxacan coast, the studio is a calm and carefully appointed space — intimate by design, equipped with classical Pilates apparatus, and surrounded by the natural beauty of the region.

The studio was founded by Fernanda, a Pilates Method Alliance (PMA-NCPT) certified instructor and the pioneering Pilates professional on the Coast of Oaxaca. She has trained with some of the most recognized names in the Classical Pilates world, including Sonje Mayo, Jerome Weinberg, Peter Fiasca, Ernesto Reynoso, Fabien Menegon, Gloria Gasper, and Kathryn M. Ross-Nash. She is also certified by Pilates 4 Parkinson's.

Florece is grounded in the Contrology method — Joseph Pilates' original system of body conditioning. Each session develops the powerhouse (core), refines breathing and postural mechanics, and cultivates precision and fluidity so that strength, mobility, and control emerge together. Sessions draw on the full classical apparatus, including the Reformer, Cadillac, Wunda Chair, High Chair, Ladder Barrel, Spine Corrector, Small Barrel, Ped-o-Pull, Magic Circle, Foot Corrector, and Toe Corrector.

Florece's personalized approach makes it a natural home for a wide range of clients and needs. Sessions are tailored to support breathwork and full-body strengthening, fluidity of movement, injury rehabilitation, prenatal and postnatal exercise, and specific movement protocols prescribed by doctors or physical therapists. Whether you are new to Pilates or returning to movement after injury, each session is built around you.
